Sunny (played by Varun Dhawan) is hopelessly in love with his ex, Ananya (Sanya Malhotra). Meanwhile, Tulsi (Janhvi Kapoor) is still tangled in feelings for her ex, Vikram (Rohit Saraf). Instead of dealing with heartbreak the normal way, these two come up with a plan straight out of a soap opera: they pretend to be madly in love with each other, just to get their exes to feel the sting of jealousy. And where else would such a hilarious battle of emotions unfold but at a grand, over-the-top Indian wedding?
