Maruti Suzuki Victoris SUV had its public premiere last week in New Delhi and the prices are likely to be announced in the coming months. It will be retailed exclusively through the regular Arena showrooms while the bookings have also commenced at a token payment of Rs 11,000 across the country. The Victoris borrows a lot of stuff from the Nexa-spec Grand Vitara, including the powertrain choices, as it is Maruti’s answer to the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and MG Astor in the Indian market. 1. Level 2 ADAS

The Victoris is the first Maruti SUV to come with Level 2 ADAS suite with 10+ advanced safety features such as Automatic Emergency Brake, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, High Beam Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Monitor and Lane Change Alert among others. The upcoming e-Vitara will be the second company model to get the ADS tech.

2. 6-Airbags

Maruti Suzuki has left no stone unturned to make the Victoris a feature-rich and premium SUV. Hence, it is offering 6-airbags (front and side curtains) as a standard safety feature across the entire variant line-up of the Victoris. Though most of the rival SUVs in this segment come with 6 airbags in all the variants.

3. Powered Tailgate

The Victoris boasts of hands-free Smart Powered Tailgate with Gesture Control in the higher trims. This feature comes with several activation modes in the form of kick gesture, key FOB switch, dashboard switch, exterior tailgate switch, and closing assist. The company has ensured the safety of the customers by including the anti-pinch technology.

4. 8-speaker Sound System

Maruti Victoris has been presented with a first-in-segment 8-speaker Infinity sound system which has been developed by Harman. It has been integrated with Dolby Atmos 5.1 Surround Sound as the whole setup comprises of 4 Speakers, 2 Tweeters, a centre speaker, sub-woofer, and 8-channel in-built amplifier. Touted as ‘Theatre on Wheels’ by Maruti, it gives the occupants a sensational music experience like never-before.

5. Ambient Lighting

This is yet another segment-first feature in the Victoris with 64-colour customisable backlit mood lighting. Though we have seen Ambient lighting in multiple other SUVs in the segment, none of them offer such a wide range of colours to choose from. Mostly, the other rival SUVs get ambient lighting with a fixed colour while Maruti is offering 64 colours.

6. SmartPlay Pro X Infotainment System

The centre console houses the 10.1-inch touchscreen SmartPlay Pro X infotainment system as it comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The central touchscreen unit has 35+ in-built apps from App Store, Alexa Auto Voice AI compatibility and OTA updates. It is also linked to next-gen Suzuki Connect which has 60+ connected features, including E-Call, maintenance notification, parking brake status, and Suzuki Navigation with ‘Send Trip To Car’.
