Uttrakhand/Kedarnath : A tragic incident occurred near Kedarnath Dham in Uttarakhand on Sunday, when a private company’s helicopter crashed. The accident claimed the lives of seven people, including six pilgrims, who died on the spot.
The helicopter was returning from Kedarnath with pilgrims onboard when it reportedly crashed due to bad weather and possible technical failure. Rescue operations were launched immediately, but unfortunately, no one could be saved.
Local administration, police, and NDRF teams are present at the crash site. Efforts are underway to identify the deceased and inform their families.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed grief over the incident and ordered a high-level investigation.
