The electric iteration of the recently introduced Syros which has seen a positive reception in its internal combustion form, is expected to debut in India sometime next year. Likely to share several traits with the upcoming Carens Clavis EV, the Syros EV will find itself competing directly with models such as the Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV400 in the compact electric SUV space. Expect the claimed range to be over 450 km per charge.

2. Tata Punch EV Facelift:

The Tata Punch EV, currently among the highest-selling electric vehicles in India, is slated for a facelift in early 2026. The refreshed version is expected to adopt the updated design language seen across newer Tata models. Alongside styling tweaks, the features list may also be expanded and improvements to the driving range are likely part of the update package in response to the increased competition.

3. Mahindra XUV 3XO EV:

Positioned below the XUV400 in Mahindra’s EV portfolio, the upcoming model may borrow key components such as the battery pack from its larger sibling. While the overall silhouette will remain familiar, subtle exterior and interior updates are possible to differentiate it from the standard ICE version. It will take on Tata Punch EV, Nexon EV and the likes.
