Top 5 Indian Batsmen With Most Runs In A Single Test Series in England

4 Min Read

Indian Batsmen With Most Runs: India ventured into Test cricket for the first time in 1932, with a one-off Test match in England. It’s been over 90 years since then, and India have been a regular visitor to England.

India have played 20 Test series in England and have won three of them. The crafty Indian batsmen have stood up against the England bowling attack and the English conditions, but usually they have been waging lone battles across a series.

The English conditions have proven to be a tough nut to crack for the Indian batsmen, who are more accustomed to the spin-friendly surfaces in India. As a result, only three times has an Indian batsman managed over 500 runs in a Test series in England so far.
