Tata Motors will soon embark on a launch spree in the Indian market with as many as five new models going on sale in the next 6 months. The company is working on a slew of ICE as well as EV offerings, which are also set to debut during the festive season of Diwali later this year. In this piece, let’s discuss the upcoming new cars from Tata in FY25, i.e. by the end of March 2026, in India.

1. Tata Punch Facelift

The facelifted Punch SUV is expected to launch in October 2025 in the Indian market. It has been captured on camera multiple times during the testing phase and the spy-images reveal that the new model will be heavily inspired by the Punch EV. Some of the notable additions in the 2025 Punch facelift will include a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 2-spoke steering wheel and all-digital instrument cluster.

For reference, the ongoing model of Tata Punch boasts of a 7-inch central touchscreen unit and semi-digital driver’s display. The seats, dashboard and upholstery are likely to be carried over from the existing version. Under the bonnet, the same naturally-aspirated 1.2L 3-cylinder petrol engine will continue with 5-speed manual and AMT gearboxes. The CNG variant will also retain the same technical specs.

2&3. Tata Harrier and Safari Petrol

Tata Motors will launch the petrol-powered Harrier and Safari in Nov 2025 in the Indian market. The SUV duo will debut the new 1.5L 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine which generates top power of 166 bhp and peak torque of 280 Nm. Earlier, the launch was planned in March 2026 but it has been advanced in favour of the upcoming festive season of Diwali.

The 1.5L turbo-petrol engine will be offered with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission choices. The petrol variants will be identical to their diesel counterparts in terms of design and features. However, they are expected to come with relatively lower introductory prices, starting at around Rs 12-13 lakh (ex-showroom).

4. Tata Sierra EV

Tata Sierra will be launched in the first quarter of 2026 in the Indian market. Showcased at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo in near-production form, it will borrow the 65 kWh and 75 kWh battery packs from the Harrier EV. The highest driving range on a single charge could be 600+ km while it could be sold with a RWD system as standard. Tata Sierra EV will have a boxy design and premium features.

It will have the same styling and cabin features as the all-electric Sierra while powered by 1.5L turbo-petrol and 2.0L diesel engines. Both of these engines will be shared with the Harrier and Safari. With the launch of the Sierra, Tata Motors will have the biggest portfolio of SUVs in the Indian market.
