Servotech Renewable Secures Major EV Charging Infrastructure Order from Bangalore International Airport
Servotech Power Systems Limited, a prominent player in India’s renewable and EV charging solutions sector, has been awarded a significant contract by Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL). The order entails the installation of an advanced EV charging station within the premises of the Kempegowda International Airport, specifically designed to cater to electric buses used for transporting passengers between terminals and aircraft.
As per the project details, Servotech will deploy 10 ultra-fast DC EV chargers, each with a massive capacity of 240 kW, culminating in a total installed capacity of 2.4 MW. This installation aims to bolster the airport’s green mobility initiatives by enabling seamless and efficient charging for its fleet of electric buses, thereby contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable transportation ecosystem within one of India’s busiest airports.
The scope of work for Servotech includes not only the supply and installation of the chargers but also the commissioning and a comprehensive 5-year maintenance plan. This ensures long-term operational reliability and uninterrupted service, which is critical for airport logistics and transportation schedules.
This development reflects a growing trend among major Indian infrastructure hubs like airports to invest in high-capacity EV charging solutions, aligning with the country’s push towards e-mobility and carbon-neutral transport systems. With this project, Servotech reinforces its position as a trusted partner for large-scale EV infrastructure projects across India.
As EV adoption in public transport accelerates, such strategic installations at high-traffic locations like airports are expected to play a pivotal role in promoting sustainable mobility, reducing emissions, and enhancing operational efficiency in transportation services.
