With her signature smile and down-to-earth charm, she shared, “I’m not very ambitious. When I got married, people were like, ‘You’re on top, where are you going? This is not the time to do it.’ I don’t understand this top-down. I just think I’m good at what I’m doing.”

For someone who has worked across multiple film industries and won hearts with her infectious energy, Genelia’s take is refreshing. She doesn’t chase success. Instead, she believes in enjoying the present and staying true to herself.
She explained, “I enjoy doing what I’m doing. Whenever I feel like it, I’m sure someone will see me. It’s not what I feel; it’s what people feel. Today, if an Aamir Khan or an Aamir Khan production didn’t feel like offering me the role, I wouldn’t have got the role. I did nothing for it. I didn’t go and seek it. I got it.”
Genelia’s appearance beside Superstar Aamir Khan in Sitaare Zameen Par won hearts. Fans were thrilled to see her back on screen, and in such a special project.
