Here we have brought you a rundown of the 3 new MPV launches waiting to happen from brands like Kia, Nissan and MG in the coming months

The MPV space is gearing up for a busy few months with multiple manufacturers lining up new models across varied price points. Brands like Kia, MG and Nissan are all set to introduce new entries before the year draws to a close and into early 2026. Here’s a breakdown of what to expect from each as they prepare to heat up competition in one of India’s most versatile segments:

1. Kia Carens Clavis EV:

The new Kia Carens Clavis EV has already been confirmed to go on sale next month in India following the momentum created by the recently launched Clavis ICE. It will feature minor exterior updates and possibly enhancements to the cabin compared to its regular sibling and it will have several commonalities with the Hyundai Creta Electric.

The midsize electric MPV may offer a claimed driving range of over 450 km per charge and it will be sold with two battery options. The equipment list will comprise a large touchscreen infotainment system, an all-digital instrument console, multiple airbags, ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS, automatic climate control and more.

2. MG M9:

MG is gearing up to introduce the all-electric M9 luxury MPV in the coming months, finished in a choice of three colour options. Distribution will be limited to the brand’s premium ‘MG Select’ outlets and it will feature alongside the upcoming Cyberster electric roadster. While its positioning loosely aligns it against the Kia Carnival in terms of body style, the M9’s battery-electric drivetrain places it in a segment without an immediate like-for-like competitor.

The MG M9 is equipped with a 90 kWh battery pack that delivers 245 bhp and 350 Nm of torque. It boasts a WLTP rated range of roughly 430 km on a single charge. Prices are expected to begin just over the Rs. 60 lakh mark (ex-showroom). On the inside, the M9 will lean heavily into luxury, offering features such as powered sliding rear doors, dual-pane sunroofs, ventilated seats, reclining ottoman-style chairs and more.

3. Nissan Compact MPV:

Based on the Renault Kiger’s CMF-A+ architecture, the upcoming Nissan MPV will be priced competitively as it will carry high local content. To be rolled out of the JV plant in Tamil Nadu, it will be powered by a 1.0L NA and turbo petrol engines and will boast Nissan’s latest design philosophy. It will precede the launch of the five-seater C-SUV which is set to rival Hyundai Creta and the likes.
