When is India vs Pakistan in Womens ODI World Cup? The International Cricket Council has announced the full fixture list for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, with host nation India set to face Sri Lanka in the opening match at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, on September 30.
Defending champion Australia begins its title defence the following day, October 1, against trans-Tasman rival New Zealand at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore. The early stages of the tournament also feature key contests: Pakistan takes on Bangladesh in Colombo on October 2, and England meets South Africa in Bengaluru on October 3.
The 2025 edition of the tournament returns to the round-robin format, last used in 2017, with each of the eight participating teams playing one another once. The group stage will run until October 26, with the final day featuring a double-header: England vs New Zealand in Guwahati (11am IST) and India vs Bangladesh in Bengaluru (3pm IST).
The top four sides will progress to the semifinals, scheduled for October 29 and 30, to be played in Guwahati or Colombo, and Bengaluru, respectively. The final will take place on November 2, with the venue contingent on the progress of the host nation—either Colombo or Bengaluru.
India’s route includes marquee encounters against Pakistan (October 5, Colombo), Australia (October 12, Visakhapatnam), and England (October 19, Indore), underlining the campaign’s narrative weight and public interest.
Australia, chasing a record-extending eighth title, will be closely followed, while England, last crowned in 2017, and South Africa, perennial contenders without silverware, round out the leading contenders. New Zealand, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka complete the field.

- Round-robin: Each team plays 7 matches
- Top four teams qualify for semifinals
- 1st vs 4th and 2nd vs 3rd in knockouts
The tournament’s structure allows for consistency to be rewarded, but one or two high-stakes clashes may prove decisive in the tight middle-order battles.
