Beginning on August 29, Zimbabwe will host Sri Lanka for three Twenty20 Internationals and two One-Day Internationals. The Harare Sports Club in Harare will host all five games.

“We are delighted to confirm Sri Lanka’s visit to Zimbabwe for what we expect to be a thrilling and competitive series,” said Givemore Makoni, the Managing Director of Zimbabwe Cricket.

The three Twenty20 Internationals will be especially significant for Zimbabwe because they come before the Africa Regional Final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Their goal is to earn a spot in the 2027 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, which will be hosted by Zimbabwe beginning on September 19.

“Matches between our two nations have always produced entertaining cricket and this tour comes at a crucial time for our team as we prepare for the upcoming T20 World Cup qualifying campaign” Makoni added.

The series is part of Zimbabwe’s hectic three-month calendar, which also includes hosting two-match Test series against South Africa and New Zealand and a T20I tri-series between the three countries.
