Skoda recorded 17,161 unit sales in the last quarter as it more than doubled what it managed on a YoY basis
Skoda Auto India has ended the July to September 2025 quarter in an impressive manner by recording 17,161 unit sales as it more than doubled what it managed in the same period last year. The brand also posted 6,636 units in September alone – effectively delivering a 101 per cent growth compared to September 2024.
The increase in volumes was attributed to the demand for its most affordable offering in India, the Kylaq alongside consistent support from the Kushaq, Slavia and Kodiaq. The Kylaq heralded Skoda’s entry into the compact SUV space when it was introduced in December 2024. It has already surpassed 34,500 cumulative unit sales – helping the brand touch 53,355 sales in the first nine months of 2025.
The arrival of GST 2.0 tax slabs combined with festive season momentum has worked as a catalyst – giving Skoda’s network of 315 outlets across 177 Indian cities increase in customer footfalls. Special anniversary editions of the Kylaq, Kushaq and Slavia were also launched this year to mark 25 years of the company in the domestic market.

Based on the GST 2.0 revisions, the Kodiaq has seen its price tag reduced by Rs. 3.30 lakh with further benefits worth Rs. 2.50 lakh on offer through festive discounts and exchange deals – taking the overall advantage up to Rs. 5.80 lakh. The Kushaq follows with a GST-based cut of Rs. 66,000 and additional offers amounting to Rs. 2.50 lakh.
The price drops and benefits resulted in a cumulative offer of Rs. 3.16 lakh. The Kylaq also received a substantial reduction of Rs. 1.19 lakh without additional Navratri-based schemes while the Slavia sedan now comes with a price drop of Rs. 63,000 coupled with festive perks worth Rs. 2.50 lakh including exchange bonuses and corporate benefits.

Skoda is currently working on launching the performance-based Octavia RS in India this month and it will be powered by a 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine producing around 261 bhp. It will be brought into the country via CBU route and the initial batch will comprise only 100 units. It will also boast a host mechanical upgrades to aid in better handling characteristics.
