In addition to the highly anticipated next-gen Duster, Renault is also preparing to debut the Kwid electric hatchback in the Indian market
Renault had two consecutive product launches in the past few months. These were the mid-life facelift updates of the existing models, the Kiger and Triber. Sporting a refreshed line-up, Renault is ready for its next bout in the Indian market with three new cars in the pipeline. Along with two new SUVs, the company is also working on an electric hatchback, which was recently spied testing. Let’s look at the details of upcoming Renault cars launching in India.
1. All-New Renault Duster
The new-gen Duster is due for a launch in the Indian market early next year, i.e. 2026. It is one of the most anticipated SUVs in the country and is currently undergoing road testing. Sporting a butch stance, the design will be in line with the global-spec model, however, we can expect some minor revisions.

Based on the CMF-B platform, the Duster will be a petrol-only model, with the hybrid powertrain expected to debut at a later stage. The SUV is expected to be powered by a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine, putting out 154 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque.
2. Renault Boreal 7-Seater SUV
Renault is also working on a new 7-seater SUV alongside the Duster. Expected to go on sale in the second half of 2026, the three-row SUV was spotted testing on domestic soil in July. It will likely be named Boreal, however, nothing can be confirmed as of now. The SUV will be based on the CMF-B platform shared with the Duster.
It will be longer than its 5-seater sibling with an extended wheelbase. The powertrain setup will include the 154 bhp 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine, and the 155 bhp 1.6-litre petrol strong hybrid option offered in international markets is also under consideration.

3. Renault Kwid EV
The speculations around the launch of the Kwid EV in India have been doing rounds on the internet for a long time now. The recent spy shots of the electric hatchback hint that its India debut is around the corner, however, an exact timeline is yet to be confirmed. While the test mule was heavily camouflaged, the overall design seems familiar to the ICE Kwid, albeit with some minor changes.
As per the reports, the India-spec model could be based on the Dacia Spring EV sold in the international markets. If this holds true, the Kwid EV will get a 26.8 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 225 kilometres on a single charge.
