Mumbai-based OdysseEV, a part of the Vora Group, has officially launched its latest high-speed electric scooter — the Odysse SUN — marking a significant step forward in India’s affordable yet performance-driven EV segment. Designed with the needs of urban commuters in mind, the SUN blends speed, range, and comfort into a stylish and practical package.

At the heart of the Odysse SUN is a 2,500W peak electric motor, capable of delivering smooth acceleration and a top speed of 70 km/h. This makes it suitable for both city traffic and slightly longer routes, ensuring that riders enjoy the best of both performance and efficiency. The motor’s design prioritizes reliability, low maintenance, and instant torque, offering a responsive ride on India’s diverse road conditions.
Battery Options and Charging
OdysseEV is offering two AIS 156-approved lithium-ion battery configurations to cater to different riding needs:
- 1.95 kWh battery – Delivers up to 85 km range on a single charge, priced at ₹81,000 (ex-showroom).
- 2.90 kWh battery – Offers up to 130 km range, priced at ₹91,000 (ex-showroom).
Both batteries can be fully charged within 4–4.5 hours, ensuring minimal downtime for daily commuters. This dual-option strategy allows customers to choose between affordability and extended range depending on their usage pattern.
Comfort, Capacity, and Utility
The Odysse SUN has been engineered for everyday practicality. It features a 150 kg load capacity, making it ideal for riders carrying extra cargo or pillion passengers. A premium suspension system enhances ride comfort, while the scooter’s sturdy frame provides stability and safety even on uneven roads. The SUN’s ergonomic design ensures that long rides remain fatigue-free, while its aerodynamic styling gives it a modern and appealing look.
Safety and Standards
With AIS 156-certified batteries, the SUN complies with the latest safety regulations, including robust thermal and electrical safety protocols. This ensures riders can enjoy high performance without compromising on safety.
