Maruti Suzuki Victoris is available in six different trims spread across both two-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations

Maruti Suzuki officially introduced the Victoris a few weeks ago and now its prices are out. It starts at Rs. 10.50 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base trim and has been positioned between the Brezza and the Grand Vitara within the company’s domestic portfolio. A total of six variants have been offered and it can be had in both 2WD and AWD trims.

They are LXi, VXi, ZXi, ZXi(O), ZXi+ and ZXi+ (O). As for the gearbox, the largest car producer in the country sells the Victoris with a five-speed MT, a six-speed torque converter AT with paddle shifting function and an eCVT which is available only with the strong hybrid system. Additionally, three drive modes and four terrain modes are also provided.

The tried-and-tested 1.5-litre K-Series Dual VVT four-cylinder petrol motor kicks out 103.06 PS maximum power at 6,000 rpm and 139 Nm of peak torque at 4,300 rpm while the three-pot 1.5-litre strong hybrid mill makes 92.45 PS at 5,500 rpm and 122 Nm at 3,800-4,800 rpm. The petrol version has claimed fuel economy of up to 21 kmpl.

The hybrid, as you might expect, is more frugal at up to 28.65 kmpl for eCVT trim while the CNG version, which boasts a CNG tank mounted underneath the body to preserve boot volume, has its economy rated at just over 27 km per kg. The Maruti Suzuki Victoris measures a length of 4,360 mm, a width of 1,795 mm and a height of 1,655 mm with a wheelbase of 2,600 mm.

Customers have the option to pick between ten exterior shades namely Mystic Green, Eternal Blue, Sizzling Red, Magma Grey, Splendid Silver, Arctic White, Bluish Black, Eternal Blue with Bluish Black roof, Sizzling Red with Bluish Black roof and Splendid Silver with Bluish Black roof.

Victoris Interior

The five-seater midsize SUV was recently tested under the Bharat NCAP organisation where it secured a rating of five stars and it has also scored full marks in GNCAP. It features a host of safety features including six airbags as standard, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, traction control, EPB and Level 2 ADAS system.

The Maruti Suzuki Victoris comes with a dual-tone interior theme and a layered dashboard. It gets several first-for-Maruti features including a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, gesture-controlled powered liftgate, ventilated seats at the front, eight-way powered driver seat, dual pane sunroof, an eight-speaker audio with Dolby Atmos 5.1, automatic climate control and more. Its bookings are open at Arena and online for a token of Rs. 11K.

The prices start at Rs. 10.50 lakh for the base 1.5 MT LXi mild-hybrid and stretch all the way up to Rs. 19.99 lakh for the top-spec 1.5 e-CVT ZXi+ (O) strong hybrid trim. The mild hybrid range sits between Rs. 10.50 lakh and Rs. 17.77 lakh while the CNG variants are priced from Rs. 11.50 lakh to Rs. 14.57 lakh. Customers opting for the AllGrip versions will need to shell out between Rs. 18.64 lakh and Rs. 19.22 lakh. The strong hybrid lineup is positioned higher, commanding a premium with prices ranging from Rs. 16.38 lakh to Rs. 19.99 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).
