Judging by the teaser, the Mahindra Vision T concept appears to be a more evolved take on the Thar.e concept showcased a couple of years ago

Mahindra has released the first teaser of an upcoming concept vehicle called Vision.T. It is set to debut on August 15, 2025 as part of a larger showcase scheduled in Mumbai as the brand tends to announce its future plans and unveil new concepts and technology directions on the Indian Independence Day every year.

The teaser goes on to suggest that the overall design carries forward the boxy proportions of the Thar.e, an electric five-door concept that originally broke cover just over a couple of years ago. At the time of its original reveal, the Thar.e was confirmed to sit on a customised version of Mahindra’s INGLO P1 platform, which has been specifically made for off-road oriented EVs.

The architecture allows for a longer wheelbase and increased ground clearance compared to standard electric crossovers. In global markets, several manufacturers have chosen to retain traditional body-on-frame setups for their rugged electric models. However, Mahindra could take a different approach altogether but we will have to wait and see what really pans out.

Judging by the teaser, the Mahindra Vision.T concept could boast significant design evolutions compared to the Thar.e concept – possibly previewing the future direction of Mahindra’s off-road EV design. Alongside this model, the company plans to unveil at least four additional concepts and a new platform during the event known as Freedom NU.

We expect a combination of internal combustion and electric vehicles to share the stage in Mumbai including the new-gen Bolero. It must be noted that Mahindra is developing the facelifted versions of the XUV700 as well as the three-door Thar and both have been caught testing on public roads.
