The updated version of the Mahindra Scorpio N is expected to launch soon in India with key feature additions including Level 2 ADAS suite
Mahindra & Mahindra’s latest teaser hints at a new variant of the already well received Scorpio N, potentially packing in a host of new features. The footage includes glowing lane visuals alongside the phrase “Power always stays on course,” which strongly implies the addition of driver assistive systems which have become headline grabbers in the segments above Rs. 20 lakh.
The midsize SUV is expected to benefit from a Level 2 ADAS suite that may bring forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, high beam assist, lane keep assist, cross traffic alert, pedestrian and blind spot detection, traffic sign recognition and adaptive cruise control into the mix. These enhancements are likely to debut on a new, range-topping variant as it will help appeal to a wider range of consumers.
Feature additions inside the cabin might comprise a larger touchscreen, 360-degree camera system, ventilated seats for driver and front passenger and a dual-pane sunroof amongst others. However, Mahindra is not likely to alter what lies under the hood – the same 2.0-litre turbocharged mStallion petrol and 2.2-litre mHawk turbocharged diesel engines will carry on with transmission duties handled by a six-speed manual and a six-speed torque converter automatic gearboxes.

Mahindra has outlined its strategy to launch a wide range of new models in India before the end of the decade. Around 23 upcoming vehicles were reportedly in the pipeline, as revealed during an investor interaction held last year. Across the current and following financial years, the company has allocated up to Rs. 27,000 crore towards this expansion effort.
Several upcoming Mahindra models are currently undergoing road testing, hinting at a packed product pipeline. Among them are the updated XUV700, an all-electric iteration of the XUV 3XO, the production-spec XEV 7e derived from the XUV.e8 concept and a more hardcore off-road version of the BE 6.
