Bengaluru, June 24, 2025 — In a bold step toward electrification, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has unveiled its first-ever EV Concept Store in India, located at Mantri Square Mall, Malleshwaram, Bengaluru. This innovative space serves as both an experience center and a showcase of Honda’s electric mobility future.

A High-Tech Electric Experience

The store offers a futuristic and immersive customer experience designed to educate and excite visitors about EVs. Key highlights include:

Activa e: The Future Is Swappable

At the heart of this initiative is the upcoming Activa e: electric scooter. It runs on a dual 1.5 kWh swappable battery system sourced from Honda Japan and supported locally by Honda Power Pack Energy India. The battery offers an effective range of over 100 km on a single charge and can be quickly replaced at designated exchange stations.

This setup eliminates charging wait times and promotes a practical solution for urban EV users.

Flexible Battery Subscription Plans

In a move to democratize EV ownership, HMSI has launched a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) Lite plan, a first-of-its-kind offering in India. The subscription-based pricing is as follows:

Plan Monthly Usage Monthly Cost
Lite 20 kWh ₹678
Basic 35 kWh ₹1,999
Advance 87 kWh ₹3,599

Under the Lite Plan, users get up to 12 battery swaps per month, with additional usage billed at nominal rates. This model is especially attractive for users with limited daily commutes, making EVs financially viable even for budget-conscious buyers.

A Vision for the Future

Honda’s EV Concept Store is more than a showroom—it’s a strategic move to educate, engage, and empower Indian consumers. By creating an interactive space and pairing it with affordable ownership models, Honda aims to remove barriers to EV adoption.

With the launch of this concept store and the upcoming Activa e:, Honda is signaling a strong commitment to build a scalable, sustainable, and customer-friendly EV ecosystem in India.
