The company recognises the dominance of this body style in shaping buyer preferences and market share and several new models are said to be in different stages of development.

Here we explain about the 5 upcoming models as it looks to expand its horizon in ICE, electric, hybrid and alternative fuel segments:

1. Maruti Suzuki Victoris:

Unveiled recently, the Maruti Suzuki Victoris is all set to launch soon in India and it will be slotted below the Grand Vitara. 2. Maruti Suzuki e Vitara:

Maruti Suzuki is inching closer to the launch of its first all-electric SUV, the e Vitara, which is scheduled to arrive in the coming months. Developed on the Heartect e architecture, the model will come with two battery pack choices, support for fast charging and an expected driving range of more than 500 kilometres on a single charge. It will also pack in modern tech, including Level 2 ADAS, and will be sold exclusively through Nexa outlets.

3. 7-Seater Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara:

Maruti Suzuki is reportedly evaluating the introduction of a three-row Grand Vitara in the Indian market. Should it materialise, the extended version would directly take on established players like the Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV700.
