Volkswagen India has reduced prices across its range comprising Virtus, Taigun, Golf GTI and Tiguan R-Line
Volkswagen India has revised prices across its domestic portfolio considering the soon-to-be implemented of GST 2.0. The updated price list, effective September 22, 2025, impacts prices of popular models such as the Virtus, Taigun, Tiguan and the recently launched Golf GTI as the price cuts range between Rs 40,000 and Rs 3.27 lakh.
The Virtus midsize sedan benefits significantly with the 1.0 TSI Comfortline MT now at Rs 11.16 lakh after a Rs 40,000 cut. The 1.0 TSI GT-Line MT drops by Rs 49,000 to Rs 13.59 lakh while the higher-spec 1.5 TSI GT MT Plus Chrome and Sport trims are cheaper by Rs 61,000 and Rs 62,000 respectively – making the best-selling midsize sedan in the country more attractive to customers.
Automatic versions of the Virtus also gain attractive reductions. The 1.0 TSI Highline AT has seen a Rs 61,000 drop while the 1.0 TSI GT-Line AT will be Rs 52,000 lower from Sep 22. The flagship 1.5 TSI DSG variants too get hefty cuts – Rs 66,000 for the Chrome trim and Rs 67,000 for the Sport. The aggressive pricing puts the Virtus squarely against rivals like the Honda City and Hyundai Verna.
