Virat Kohli Only Batter Of 900 Rating In 3 Formats: ICC has updated Indian cricket team star Virat Kohli’s all-time ICC T20I rating, pushing him over the 900 rating point mark. This makes him the only player in history to have over 900 points in the all-time ratings.
ICC’s Best-Ever Batting Player Ranking, unlike the current rankings, is a record of a player’s all-time highest rating in any particular format. A player is allowed to enter the list only once, with their entry in the list being from whenever their rating was the highest in the ICC rankings.

In a recent update, Kohli’s highest point rating was considered to be on September 07, 2014. On that day, India lost a one-off T20I to the Three Lions to cap off their tour to England. While the Men in Blue lost the match by three runs, Kohli scored 66 off 41.
With a retroactive update to ICC’s all-time batter ratings, it is now official that Kohli’s T20I batter rating on that day was 909 points. He was also the world No. 1 at that time. He is now third on the list of the best-ever T20I batter ratings, behind Dawid Malan on 919 and Suryakumar Yadav on 912.
With Vrat being one of only five players to have over 900 rating points in T20Is, he is also the only player to have over 900 points in all formats of the game. He is also the sixth-highest rated player in ODIs with an all-time rating of 909, which he achieved after India won the first of three ODIs against England in 2018.
To complete the trifecta, Virat achieved his highest Test rating of 937 after India won the third Test against England on the same 2018 tour, in which he scored 200 runs in two innings, leading India to a 203-run victory.
This makes Kohli the only cricketer in history to have over 900 rating points at a point in his career in all three formats. He also had over 900 points concurrently in Tests and ODIs at some point in 2018.
Virat Kohli retired from T20Is after India’s triumph in the 2024 T20I World Cup, in which he was named the Player of the Match in the final. He also retired from Tests earlier this year, leaving only ODIs as the format where he is active.
