2025 Yamaha R15 series gains new colour schemes which include the introduction of the Matte Pearl White finish on the R15 V4
Yamaha has given its R15 lineup a splash of freshness for 2025 introducing a set of new colour options for the R15 M, R15 V4 and the R15 S motorcycles. With the update, the entry point into the R15 family now begins at Rs. 1.67 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Among the highlights is the arrival of the globally popular Matte Pearl White finish on the R15 V4.
This is the first time the shade is being offered in India. The same motorcycle also gets a reworked Racing Blue paint scheme with sportier graphics and a Metallic Black colour that was specifically developed following strong customer feedback according to the brand. The R15M, meanwhile, gains a new Metallic Grey as part of the MY update.
At the other end, the R15 S now comes dressed in a stealthy Matte Black paired with eye-catching contrast vermillion wheels. The R15 has been one of India’s successful entry-level supersport for years with Yamaha already crossing the one million production milestone here. What has kept it at the top of its segment is not the styling borrowed from Yamaha’s R-Series and the hardware that backs it up.
Its 155 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine delivers lively performance, supported by the brand’s Deltabox frame and DiASil cylinder for high standard dynamic abilities. The equipment list includes upside-down forks, linked-type Monocross suspension, traction control, assist and slipper clutch and even a quick shifter on select versions.
With the addition of new colour schemes, the 2025 Yamaha R15 M is priced at Rs. 2.01 lakh while the V4 carries a sticker tag of Rs. 1.84 lakh and the R15 S at Rs. 1.67 lakh (all ex-showroom, Delhi). Yamaha is definitely looking to cash in on the festive season demand. With Variable Valve Actuation (VVA), the engine generates a maximum power of 18.4 PS at 10,000 rpm and peak torque of 14.2 Nm at 7,500 rpm.
It is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. Suspension duties are managed by 37mm upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock setup while braking is handled by disc brakes at both ends —282 mm at the front and 220 mm at the rear – along with a dual-channel ABS system. Ergonomically, the R15 sports aggressive rider’s triangle inspired by Yamaha’s premium supersport models with a full fairing, clip-on handlebars, split seat and a side-slung exhaust.
It is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels fitted with 100/80 section front and 140/70 section rear tubeless tyres. The instrument cluster comes equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, a gear position indicator, shift timing light and more. The motorcycle’s kerb weight is around 142 kg and the seat height is about 815 mm.
