TVS Ntorq 150 will more likely feature a brand new 150 cc liquid-cooled engine which could produce around 15 PS judging by the competition
The Ntorq series has been a part of TVS’ portfolio for over seven years now – maintaining its steady run in the market with timely introductions of new variants and special editions. Featuring in the 125 cc sporty scooter space, the model quickly found recognition in a segment that has only grown more crowded with the arrival of new rivals.
Over time, competition has heated up further with manufacturers like Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, Aprilia and others consolidating their presence. In recent years, the scooter market has seen a notable influx of models in the 150 cc to 160 cc space. With the Ntorq brand enjoying strong reception, TVS now prepares for an all-new product from the range.
The upcoming TVS Ntorq is expected to line up against contenders such as the Yamaha Aerox 155, Aprilia SXR 160 and Hero Xoom 160 and it will make its debut on September 1 and we are riding it the day after. The teaser released so far indicates the presence of the evolved LED headlamp cluster with the signature T graphics.

It is flanked by a quartet of LED lighting units. At present, TVS does not have a liquid-cooled engine on offer in its sub-300 cc scooter lineup. Among its rivals, the Hero Xoom 160 and Yamaha Aerox 155 already feature liquid-cooled motors while the Aprilia SXR 160 continues with an air-cooled setup.
For its Ntorq 150, TVS could take inspiration from its 160 cc motorcycles to engineer a new powerplant. However, if the brand chooses to rely on air cooling, performance numbers may fall short against liquid-cooled competitors. Another possibility is that TVS may roll out a brand new 150 cc liquid-cooled motor for the upcoming scooter with power figures in the range of 15 PS.

Rest assured, the product will be loaded with features and technologies, inspired by the brand’s latest launches. Expect elements such as a TFT instrument cluster with connectivity options, sharp bodywork with sporty graphics, split seats, black alloy wheels, LED tail lamps and indicators, multiple ride modes and some assistive tech too. We can expect it to be competitively priced as well.
