TVS Jupiter Stardust Black Edition is slotted above the SXC disc version and it comes with a black finish and bronze accents
TVS Motor Company has silently introduced a special edition version of the Jupiter known as the Jupiter Stardust Black edition and its details have been listed on the brand’s official website. Carrying a price tag of Rs. 93,031 (ex-showroom, New Delhi), it gets notable cosmetic enhancements to differentiate itself from the regular model.
The TVS Jupiter Stardust Black edition is based on the range-topping SXC Disc trim and boasts all of its features. The inclusion of new bits and bobs results in a price increase of Rs. 1,000 as the SXC is priced at Rs. 92,031 (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The brand’s best-selling scooter is currently priced at Rs. 78,881 for the base trim.
The special edition is equipped with a black colour scheme, a sparkling ‘speckled’ panel, ‘Most awarded scooter of India’ bronze badge, Jupiter wording on the sides in bronze shade, etc. With no mechanical changes, it continues to feature a front fuel filler cap for added safety, longest seat in its class and an understorage capable of storing two helmets.

The SmartXonnect connectivity enables features such as voice assist, distance to empty, find my vehicle, average fuel economy, call and sms alerts along with navigation. Measuring 1,848 mm in length, 665 mm in width and 1,158 mm in height, the scooter offers a wheelbase length of 1,275 mm and ground clearance of 163 mm.
The ground reach stands at 770 mm while the seat length is at 756 mm – add to that a front leg space of 380 mm and a kerb weight of just 106 kg are also available. Powering the Jupiter is a 113.3 cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine which produces a maximum power output of 5.9 kW at 6500 rpm along with a peak torque of 9.8 Nm at 5000 rpm with assist (9.2 Nm without assist).

The setup uses a two-valve configuration and is paired to a CVT automatic transmission. The mechanical package is supported by a telescopic hydraulic front suspension and a twin-tube emulsion shock absorber at the rear with 3-step adjustment. Braking duties are handled by a 220 mm disc up front and a 130 mm drum at the rear along with 90/90-12 tubeless tyres on both ends.
