The 2026 Kia Seltos will be the second-generation model of the mid-size SUV. It is one of the three new mid-size SUVs expected to be launched in India next year, and here are five reasons it will be absolutely worth waiting for:
1. All-new design
The 2026 Kia Seltos will feature a completely new design inside and out. Spy shots have already given a peek at some of the exterior details, such as new squarish headlamps, vertical LED DRLs, a more prominent grille, and Kia EV5-inspired tail lamps. The interior should have a more polished look with a sleeker dashboard, more premium decor elements, and a new multi-colour ambient lighting system, among others.

2. More space
Moving into its second generation, the Kia Seltos will grow in dimensions. Rumour has it that the length will increase by around 100 mm from the current 4,365 mm. This would make the model the largest one in its segment in our market and quite possibly also the most spacious one. The rear-seat space and boot volume are expected to gain the most from this improvement.
3. New comfort features
Kia will offer the next-gen Seltos with an array of new and improved comfort features. The company should include a new memory function in the powered and ventilated driver’s seats, allowing the driver to set it to their preferred adjustment conveniently. Also new will likely be ventilation, reclining, and sliding functions for the rear seat.

4. Kia Trinity Display
Kia is likely to offer a trio of cockpit displays in the next-gen Seltos, mirroring the look of the Syros’ Trinity Display. A 12.3-inch HD instrument cluster on the right side, a 5-inch climate control touchscreen in the centre, and a 12.3-inch HD infotainment touchscreen on the left side will likely be integrated into a single frame on the driver’s side of the dashboard.
The new combined displays would run the ccNC (connected car Navigation Cockpit) software. Faster USB Type-C ports and a faster wireless smartphone charger are also expected in the next-gen Seltos.
5. Improved fuel economy
The next-gen Kia Seltos is likely to carry over the current model’s engines, but in improved, more fuel-efficient versions. The current model’s fuel economy ranges from 17.0 to 20.7 km/l. Internationally, Kia will introduce the next-gen Seltos with a hybrid powertrain, but it is not expected to bring that option to our market before 2027.
