Tata Nexon continued to lead the way ahead of Hyundai Creta, Mahindra Scorpio, Maruti Suzuki Fronx and Tata Punch in top 10 sales table for SUVs in October 2025
The SUV space continued its dominant run in October 2025, with strong performances across all leading manufacturers. The Tata Nexon once again emerged as the country’s best-selling SUV, posting 22,083 units and a 50 per cent year-on-year growth. Consistent demand across its petrol, diesel, and electric versions helped Tata Motors maintain its top spot in the segment, particularly during the festive season.
The Hyundai Creta followed in second place with 18,381 units, recording a modest 5 per cent increase over last year. Despite heightened competition, the Creta’s versatile powertrain options and premium features have kept it a steady favourite in the midsize SUV space. Hyundai’s upcoming facelift is expected to further strengthen its position in the coming months.
In third place, the Mahindra Scorpio achieved 18,107 units, marking a 14 per cent rise year-on-year. The Scorpio N and Classic continue to attract both urban and rural buyers with their rugged design and proven diesel performance. Increased production and better availability have also contributed to Mahindra’s strong showing this festive period.
