Tesla Accelerates India Push with First Delhi-NCR Showroom at Aerocity
Tesla has taken a decisive step in strengthening its India presence with the inauguration of its first showroom in the Delhi-NCR region, strategically located in Aerocity. Opened on August 11, 2025, this sprawling 8,200 sq ft facility marks the company’s second retail outlet in the country—coming just a month after the successful launch of its Mumbai BKC store. The Delhi-NCR showroom is secured on a nine-year lease, underscoring Tesla’s long-term commitment to the Indian market.
At the heart of the showroom’s display is the Tesla Model Y, the electric SUV that will spearhead the brand’s entry into India. Customers can choose between two variants:
Bookings for the Model Y are now open, with customer deliveries set to begin in September 2025. Initially, Tesla will roll out vehicles in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, before expanding to other key cities.
In addition to retail expansion, Tesla is rapidly building an integrated sales, service, and charging network. The company is developing a 33,475 sq ft sales and service center in Gurugram, designed to provide comprehensive after-sales support. On the charging front, Tesla’s Supercharger network is also growing, with new stations planned for Lower Parel, Navi Mumbai, and Thane—adding to its Mumbai debut site at One BKC.
Bengaluru has already been confirmed as the next city to get a Tesla showroom, as the brand strategically establishes its presence across India’s leading metropolitan hubs. This combination of flagship showrooms, robust service infrastructure, and high-speed charging facilities positions Tesla to meet rising demand and ensure a premium ownership experience for Indian customers.
With the launch of its Aerocity showroom and a clear roadmap for expansion, Tesla has signaled that it’s not just entering India—it’s here to stay and compete aggressively in the rapidly growing electric vehicle market.
