Skoda Kodiaq Lounge 5-seater variant has been made available in three colour schemes namely Moon White, Magic Black and Graphite Grey

Skoda Auto India has expanded its Kodiaq portfolio by adding a new Lounge variant at the base end of the lineup. Priced at Rs. 39.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the new trim lowers the entry point into the brand’s flagship SUV making the Kodiaq accessible to wider audience while still packing in a long list of premium features which have been explained here.

The 2025 Skoda Kodiaq Lounge variant is offered only in a five-seat configuration unlike the seven-seater configuration in the standard model. Customers can choose from three exterior colour finishes namely Moon White, Magic Black and Graphite Grey while the interior gets a number of upmarket equipment including a 10.4-inch touchscreen system.

The infotainment screen supports wireless mirroring while equipment and technologies such as nine airbags, anti-lock brakes, Electronic Stability Control, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Motor Slip Regulation, Anti-Slip Regulation (traction control), Electronic Differential Lock, Hydraulic Brake Assist, Downhill Speed Regulation (hill descent control), Rear Brake Support, Motor Coupled Brake, etc are also available.

Buyers will also get a set of 18-inch alloy wheels, grey suede fabric upholstery, rear unblinds, a two-spoke multifunctional steering wheel, smart dials, matte dark chrome finishes on the outside, roof rails, a three-zone automatic climate control system, cruise control, drive modes, USB-C charging ports and a 10.25-inch instrument cluster.

Of course, there are some omissions compared to the pricier trims as it is around Rs. 3.75 lakh less expensive than Sportline and nearly Rs. 6 lakh less expensive than top-spec L&K. The Lounge does without driver drowsiness detection, the illuminated grille, a virtual pedal for the powered tailgate, 360-degree camera, intelligent park assist and the Canton sound system.

For those who want the full-fat luxury experience, these missing features will remain exclusive to the Sportline and Laurin & Klement variants. The updated prices for the Kodiaq range now reads: Lounge at Rs. 39.99 lakh, Sportline at Rs. 43.76 lakh and the Laurin & Klement topping the chart at Rs. 45.96 lakh (all ex-showroom).

With the Lounge trimming the starting price by just over Rs. 3.75 lakh compared to the Sportline and being more attractive in terms of pricing compared to the L&K while using the same 2.0L turbo petrol mill paired with a DSG, Skoda is clearly eyeing consumers who want the Kodiaq badge and its premium credentials without stretching too far.
