Tata Sierra EV is expected to go on sale in the coming months and it will be offered with two battery packs enabling a range of over 500 km
Battery tech and range capability will be the centrepiece of the Tata Sierra EV when it arrives in early 2026. The electric SUV is expected to share its battery architecture with the Harrier EV and its larger pack is projected to deliver a real-world driving range of over 500 km between charges. Support for DC fast charging along with bi-directional charging capability will be available.
The brand had already confirmed three EV launches for 2026 including the Punch EV facelift and its first Avinya-based production model. Positioned above the Curvv EV, the electrified Sierra will target buyers looking for a more premium midsize five-seater while boasting design cues reminiscing some of the details found in the original Sierra and of course its latest ICE sibling.
On the inside, Tata is expected to make the Sierra EV one of its most digitally advanced vehicles to date. The dashboard layout will feature a triple-screen configuration consisting of a large digital instrument cluster, a central infotainment touchscreen and a dedicated passenger-side display. It will be packed with features right from the base trim.

Higher variants are expected to be offer Level 2 ADAS, connected car technology, dual-zone climate control, powered front seats, ambient lighting and a premium audio system. A panoramic glass roof and upgraded interior materials are also likely. While the Sierra EV will retain the familiar upright silhouette and boxy proportions of the Sierra nameplate, it will feature several EV-specific styling updates.
These include a closed-off front fascia, a full-width LED daytime running light bar, split headlamps and revised bumpers with darker inserts and a more rugged lower section. Other highlights are squared wheel arches, muscular shoulder lines, smart door handles, new alloy wheel designs, a connected LED light strip at the rear and so on.

Multiple camouflaged test vehicles have been spotted on Indian roads indicating that Tata has moved beyond the developmental stages and it was even teased a few weeks ago.
