Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 is expected to go on sale in the coming months and the range will also spawn a scrambler variant
Royal Enfield unveiled the Flying Flea C6 at the 2024 EICMA in Milan alongside a preview of its scrambler-styled version. Following its showcase, the company has been displaying the FF-C6 in multiple cities across India. The motorcycle has now been teased undergoing rigorous testing in northern regions suggesting that the brand’s first electric offering could make its market debut as early as this festive season.
The prototype reveals features such as full LED lighting, split-style seating and black alloy wheels. While the FF-C6 is expected to be targeted mainly at urban commuting, its complete specifications have not yet been disclosed. Carrying a retro-modern appeal, the slim electric motorcycle incorporates a forged aluminium girder-type front fork.
It draws inspiration from pre-war motorcycle design. The setup is complemented by an articulating front mudguard – paying homage to the original 1940s Flying Flea’s styling cues. Royal Enfield has already stated that the Flying Flea lineup will sit on a forged aluminium frame coupled with a magnesium battery enclosure.

The unique battery casing extends into front and rear fins that merge into a wing-shaped center section. To keep the retro character intact, the motorcycle will feature a circular digital touchscreen instrument console. Features like keyless ignition through a smartphone and over-the-air firmware updates will come as standard.
A dedicated chip has been developed to manage the Vehicle Control Unit which the company says can process over two lakh ride setting combinations. This system adjusts parameters such as acceleration, braking and regenerative response in real time. It also gets a charging port, cruise control and lean sensitive ABS system.

Every element of the electric motorcycle, from the motor and battery to the BMS and bespoke software, has been engineered internally by Royal Enfield. The brand plans to offer the zero-emission model in international markets too while the electric version of the Himalayan is also in the pipeline.
