After settling a legal dispute with Akshay Kumar’s production house by returning ₹11 lakh along with interest, Paresh Rawal has confirmed that he will be rejoining Hera Pheri 3.
The film made headlines back in May when Rawal publicly announced his exit via a post on X.

Just two days later, Akshay Kumar reportedly filed a lawsuit against him, accusing him of derailing the shoot and seeking ₹25 crore in damages.
In a conversation with Himanshu Mehta on his podcast, Paresh Rawal addressed the Hera Pheri 3 controversy by saying, “There’s no controversy. When something is so deeply loved by the audience, you have to be extra mindful. It becomes our responsibility to deliver quality because the audience has given us immense love—you can’t take that for granted. We need to work hard and give them a film that lives up to expectations.”
He continued, “My only thought was that everyone should come together and give it their best. That’s it. Everything has been sorted now.”

When the host asked if the third installment would indeed feature the original cast, Rawal confirmed, “It was always meant to happen—it just needed some fine-tuning (laughs). After all, everyone involved, whether it’s Priyadarshan, Akshay, or Suniel, is not only talented but has been friends for many, many years.”
At the Housefull 5 trailer launch, Akshay Kumar addressed questions about the legal dispute with Paresh Rawal, publicly standing by his longtime co-star.
“Using derogatory words for someone I’ve worked with for over 30–35 years is unacceptable. We’re close friends, and I have immense respect for him as an actor,” Akshay said. He added, “It’s a serious issue, and it will be dealt with through the proper legal channels.”
