Ola Diamondhead has been confirmed to be rolled out in CY27 and it will be priced under Rs. 5 lakh; to feature advanced technologies
A couple of years ago, Ola Electric showcased multiple motorcycle concepts. Of which the Roadster has entered production while the likes of Diamondhead has not been. At the Sankalp 2025 event in Bengaluru, the brand unveiled a more evolved version of the Diamondhead in its prototype stage and it has been confirmed to be rolled out in CY27.
The Diamondhead has been conceived as Ola’s flagship motorcycle of sorts in terms of engineering, performance and technology. It employs aerospace composites and lightweight exotic alloys and a hub-centred steering system while also integrating adaptive ergonomics and AR-based rider interaction according to the EV maker.
Supported by Krutrim Silicon intelligence and powered by MoveOS, Ola’s Diamondhead is said to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 2.0 seconds. The brand is currently targetting a price point of under Rs. 5 lakh. While the overall design remains the same as the concept, it will be interesting to see how it evolves ahead of its market launch.
It looks to have an aggressive rider’s triangle as well. It will also feature a suite of ADAS system such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, Front Collision Alert, along with terrain-specific traction management and ABS. The styling comprises a diamond-shaped face with a horizontal LED light bar and a sleek and exposed rear profile.
It could compete with the range of premium electric motorcycles from Ultraviolette upon arrival. At the Sankalp, Ola debuted the MoveOS 6 software which is said to represent a significant advancement in AI-driven mobility embedding a native guardian, assistant and ride coach. Fully developed and trained in India, the system enhances efficiency, prolongs battery life, and elevates rider safety besides supporting ADAS.
Ola also announced its Gen 4 platform which will serve as the foundation for all its upcoming products. Compared with Gen 1, the new architecture offers a 76 per cent increase in peak power, a 25 per cent reduction in weight, a 15 per cent improvement in energy efficiency and a 41 per cent decrease in cost. It has been designed to accommodate Bharat Cell form factors such as 4680, 46100, and 46120, while supporting Internal Permanent Magnet motors, Ferrite-based FeSynRM units and magnetless motor technologies.
