Pant injured a finger while keeping in the Lord’s Test. While he batted, it was Dhruv Jurel who kept wickets for India in the Test since Pant got injured. It’s possible that India will have to play Pant as a pure batsman at Old Trafford and pick Jurel as the keeper.

All-rounder Nitish Reddy is all but confirmed to be ruled out from the rest of the Test series against England due to an injury to his left knee. According to reports, Reddy sustained a knee injury while training in the gym, and scans have revealed ligament damage.
According to Cricbuzz, Nitish Reddy’s knee injury is “serious,” and “most certainly” he will miss the remaining two Tests in this series.
Reddy was benched in the first Test in Leeds and then replaced Shardul Thakur in the side from the second Test as the fourth seamer and pace-bowling all-rounder. In two Tests, he scored only 45 runs and picked up three wickets in 28 overs.
With Reddy, Arshdeep, and Akash Deep ruled out, India might turn back to Thakur for the Manchester Test and even hand Anshul Kamboj his debut Test cap. There is a possibility of Kuldeep Yadav getting his first opportunity of this series. The India XI is certain to have some shuffling for the IND vs ENG 4th Test.
