Is Nitish Reddy Ruled Out Of the Test Series? Heading into the IND vs ENG 4th Test, the worries for the visitors have kept piling up, as one after another, four of their original squad members have gotten injured, with one of them getting ruled out of the rest of the series.

After the first three Tests of the five-match Test series for the Anderson-Tendulkar trophy, England lead the series 2-1, following their win in the Lord’s Test by only 22 runs.

Since then, India have been fretting over the injury and fitness of some key players. Earlier, Akash Deep and Arshdeep Singh were ruled out of the upcoming 4th Test match, which is scheduled to begin on July 23 in Manchester.

Deep had picked up a groin niggle during the Lord’s Test, while Arshdeep, who has yet to make his Test debut, injured his left hand during a training session on Thursday. India then added uncapped pacer Anshul Kamboj to the squad as a cover for Deep and Arshdeep.

India, who were already discussing Jasprit Bumrah’s workload and whether he will play or rest in Manchester, also have to contend with a finger injury to Rishabh Pant. Pant injured a finger while keeping in the Lord’s Test. While he batted, it was Dhruv Jurel who kept wickets for India in the Test since Pant got injured. It’s possible that India will have to play Pant as a pure batsman at Old Trafford and pick Jurel as the keeper.

The latest in India’s list of injuries is all-rounder Nitish Reddy, who is believed to be ruled out from the rest of the series.

IND vs ENG: Is Nitish Reddy Ruled Out From The Rest Of The Test Series?

All-rounder Nitish Reddy is all but confirmed to be ruled out from the rest of the Test series against England due to an injury to his left knee. According to reports, Reddy sustained a knee injury while training in the gym, and scans have revealed ligament damage.

According to Cricbuzz, Nitish Reddy’s knee injury is “serious,” and “most certainly” he will miss the remaining two Tests in this series.

Reddy was benched in the first Test in Leeds and then replaced Shardul Thakur in the side from the second Test as the fourth seamer and pace-bowling all-rounder. In two Tests, he scored only 45 runs and picked up three wickets in 28 overs.

With Reddy, Arshdeep, and Akash Deep ruled out, India might turn back to Thakur for the Manchester Test and even hand Anshul Kamboj his debut Test cap. There is a possibility of Kuldeep Yadav getting his first opportunity of this series. The India XI is certain to have some shuffling for the IND vs ENG 4th Test.
