New generation Hyundai Venue will go on sale this September and it will get major revisions inside and out
Hyundai’s second generation Venue has been on test across India and international markets for several months now. In recent weeks, the frequency of sightings has gone up, pointing to the final evaluation phase before launch. The market introduction is expected during the upcoming festive window – giving Hyundai a refreshed entry in the compact SUV space.
Proportions seem familiar albeit detailed exterior changes remain hidden under camouflage. Internally tagged as QU2i, the next-gen Hyundai Venue is not expected to stray too far in terms of size but visual updates will mark a clear departure from the outgoing version. Several design cues have filtered down from larger Hyundai models like the Creta and Alcazar – especially up front.
The headlamp units now sit in a new vertical arrangement lending the fascia a more upright stance. A revised front grille design follows suit, trading the current mesh pattern for layered slats. While the overall shape remains familiar, the detailing signals a more mature design direction this time around.

Flanking the front lighting setup are split C-shaped LED DRLs, adding a sharper and more recognisable signature to the new Venue’s face. Changes are not confined to the nose – the profile and rear are seeing revisions as well. Along the sides, new body panels with newly styled 16-inch alloy wheels can be found in the second-gen five-seater.
At the back, Hyundai has reworked the tailgate and bumper and introduced a revised roof spoiler while the updated tail lamp housings add to the refreshed appeal. However, a full-width connecting LED strip, as seen on some newer Hyundai models, does not seem to be part of the final package and the latest spy shot reiterates that.

New Gen Venue Rendering
Hyundai is preparing to bring a notable round of feature upgrades to the new Venue, headlined by the addition of Level 2 ADAS and a dual-pane sunroof – both firsts for the model. Inside the cabin, the layout is expected to get a redesigned dashboard, a revamped centre console and new upholstery choices along with a larger touchscreen.
The current powertrain lineup features a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.5-litre diesel and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and it will be retained. Gearbox options are also likely to carry over unchanged with a six-speed manual, a six-speed automatic, and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission continuing across variants.
