Maruti Suzuki Victoris is available with 1.5L mild-hybrid petrol and 1.5L strong-hybrid petrol engines; deliveries to commence soon
Only a few days ago, Maruti Suzuki introduced the Victoris midsize SUV in India carrying a starting price of Rs. 10.49 lakh which goes all the way up to Rs. 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the range-topping model. The five-seater is available in an expansive range as it is equipped with a 1.5L mild hybrid petrol and a 1.5L strong hybrid petrol engine.
In addition, a CNG variant as well as an AWD system is on offer helping it to appeal to a wide range of customers. We got to drive the Victoris a while and our first drive impressions along with the detailed mileage test have been given below. The customer deliveries for the SUV will begin on September 22 – the first day of Navratri across the country.
The Maruti Suzuki Victoris has been positioned between the Brezza and Grand Vitara within the brand’s domestic portfolio. The 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine is good enough to deliver a maximum power output of 103.06 PS and 139 Nm of peak torque. The hybrid three-cylinder 1.5-litre engine makes 92.45 PS and 122 Nm.

The claimed fuel efficiency ranges between 21 kmpl and 28.65 kmpl for the hybrid eCVT variant while the CNG has it at just over 27 km per kg. The Victoris measures a length of 4,360 mm, a width of 1,795 mm and a height of 1,655 mm with a wheelbase length of 2,600 mm. It is presented in a total of six grades namely LXi, VXi, ZXi, ZXi(O), ZXi+ and ZXi+ (O).
Maruti Suzuki offers the Victoris with multiple transmission choices based on the variant – starting with a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed torque converter automatic paired with paddle shifters, and an eCVT. Customers also have ten exterior colours to choose from including single-tone options such as Mystic Green, Arctic White and Bluish Black along with several dual-tone combinations.

The interior of the Maruti Suzuki Victoris adopts a dual-tone finish with a layered dashboard layout – complemented by features such as ventilated front seats, a gesture-controlled powered tailgate, an eight-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, etc.
Buyers will also find a dual-pane sunroof, a Dolby Atmos 5.1-enabled eight-speaker audio system, wireless charging, and automatic climate control. On the safety and convenience front, the SUV is equipped with six airbags, electronic stability program, traction control, an electronic parking brake, a 360-degree camera setup, and advanced driver assistance systems with Level 2 functionality.
