Mahindra posted 47,306 units in June 2025 as against 40,022 units during the same period last year with a YoY surge of 18 per cent
Mahindra wrapped up the month of June 2025 with 47,306 units sold in the domestic passenger vehicle space, registering an 18 per cent year-on-year improvement over the 40,022 units dispatched in June last year. Its diverse lineup of sports utility vehicles remains the sole contributor in this category for the homegrown auto major.
At the halfway point of the fiscal, Mahindra’s UV volumes have touched 1,52,067 units, up from 1,24,248 units in the year-ago period with a 22 per cent rise. However, the sub-2-tonne commercial vehicle category saw a decline – slipping 20 per cent in June to 2,576 units compared to 3,227 units garnered during the corresponding period twelve months ago.
The downturn extended into the fiscal year-to-date tally, which dropped to 7,808 units from 9,755 units during the same six-month span in FY25. In the midsize light commercial vehicle space, covering the 2 to 3.5-tonne bracket, Mahindra recorded a 4 per cent bump in June 2025 – reporting 16,772 units versus 16,152 units the previous year.

The segment’s year-to-date figure stands at 53,631 units, climbing 9 per cent from 49,377 units in the first half of FY25. Meanwhile, sales of heavier vehicles – those exceeding 3.5 tonnes including MHCVs – remained largely unchanged. Mahindra sold 1,227 such units in June, a marginal gain over last year’s 1,219. The cumulative figure for this category sits at 3,517 units as of June-end, compared to 3,394 units in the same period last year.
The biggest leap came from the three-wheeler division. The domestic three-wheeler volumes, factoring in electric variants, jumped 37 per cent to 8,454 units in June 2025 as against 6,180 units during the same period last year. For the financial year so far, the tally has risen to 20,559 units, showing a 16 per cent improvement over the 17,651 units sold in the equivalent period last year.
