No less than five new Mahindra SUVs are set to go on sale in India in the next three years

Mahindra’s onslaught of new models this year brought the BE 6, XEV 9e, facelifted Thar, facelifted Bolero series, and the XEV 9S to Indian showrooms. In the next three years, the company will launch five more models.

The first of the five upcoming Mahindra models will be the Mahindra XUV 7XO, the facelifted version of the Mahindra XUV 700. The XUV 7XO will feature sharper headlamps, a bolder radiator grille, XEV 9S-like tail lamps, three 12.3-inch dashboard displays, and more USB Type-C ports. Mahindra will launch the new three-row SUV on 5 January.

Later in early 2026, Mahindra will introduce the XUV 3XO EV, the pure electric variant of the XUV 3XO. The company is said to use a 35 kWh battery pack in this model, although it’s unclear whether it is planning a low-cost LFP unit or an NMC one that is better in terms of range and charging speed. The XUV 3XO EV will be cheaper than the XUV 400 and compete with the Tata Nexon.ev.

Also planned in early 2026 is a facelift for the Scorpio N, Mahindra’s hot-selling body-on-frame SUV,. The updated Scorpio should feature changes like redesigned headlamps and tail lamps, new 18-inch alloy wheels, and a larger, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

In 2027, Mahindra will likely launch the production version of the Vision.S concept, a new compact SUV debuting the company’s NU_IQ monocoque platform. This model will have a proper SUV styling with a boxy silhouette, rugged bodywork, and a high ground clearance. Inside, A-pillar-mounted assist handles and vertical AC vents will reinforce its SUV credentials. It will be positioned above the XUV 3XO.

In 2028, the road-ready version of the Vision.T concept is expected to go on sale. Also based on the NU_IQ platform, this model is expected to be a new off-road SUV positioned as a pure electric alternative to the Thar Roxx. All-terrain tyres, high-clearance bumpers, generous ground clearance, an upright windscreen, a high-seating position, and an optional dual-motor AWD setup should make it a highly capable vehicle for adventures off the tarmac.
