Hyundai Expands Creta Electric Line-up with New Variants and Features

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has officially expanded the Creta Electric portfolio with the introduction of new variants, enhanced features, and improved driving range. Following the success of the ICE Creta updates, Hyundai has brought similar upgrades to the electric counterpart, further strengthening its presence in India’s EV market.

Updated Variant Line-up

The Creta Electric now comes in multiple variants across two battery pack options: 42 kWh (MR – Medium Range) and 51.4 kWh (LR – Long Range).

  • Creta Long Range (LR) – 51.4 kWh battery pack
    • Earlier, only two variants were offered: Smart (O) and Excellence.
    • Hyundai has now added a third variant: Executive (O).
    • Updated LR Variants:
      • Executive (O)
      • Smart (O)
      • Excellence
  • Creta Medium Range (MR) – 42 kWh battery pack
    • Previously offered in four trims: Executive, Smart, Smart (O), Premium.
    • Now, the Smart trims have been axed and replaced with new names.
    • Updated MR Variants:
      • Executive
      • Executive Tech
      • Premium
      • Excellence

Additionally, Premium and Excellence trims now get Hyundai Car (HC) connected features.

  • Battery Packs & Range:
    • 42 kWh pack – range improved from 390 km to 420 km (ARAI certified).
    • 51.4 kWh pack – range improved from 473 km to 510 km.

    • Two new colours introduced: Matte Black and Shadow Grey, giving buyers more personalization options.
