Harry Brook is an English international cricketer who serves as Test vice-captain as well as ODI and T20I captain. He plays for England in all three formats. He was educated at Ilkley Grammar School in West Yorkshire before moving at age 14 to Sedbergh School in Cumbria, where former professional cricketer and coach Martin Speight played an important role in his development.

Brook made his Yorkshire Twenty20 debut in the 2018 t20 Blast on 5 July 2018. He was signed by the Northern Superchargers for The Hundred in 2021. In 2022, he joined Lahore Qalandars and scored an unbeaten 102 off 49 balls against Islamabad United after coming in at 12–3, registering his maiden T20 century and becoming the youngest centurion in Pakistan Super League history.

At the international level, Brook captained England Under-19s in a five-match youth ODI series against India in August 2017. He made his T20I debut for England against the West Indies on 26 January 2022 after being named in the squad earlier that month. He was selected for England’s Test squad in May 2022 for the New Zealand series and for the ODI squad in July 2022 against India. In August 2022, he was named in the Test squad for the South Africa series and made his Test debut on 8 September 2022.

Harry Brook’s parents are David Brook and Lucy Brook. His father, David Brook, is a cricketer at club level and works making furniture from reclaimed oak. He played a major role in coaching Harry during his early years. Harry Brook’s mother is Lucy Brook. She has largely stayed out of the public spotlight, but she has been closely involved in his career and personal life. During the IPL 2023 auction on December 23, 2022, Harry Brook was having dinner with his mother and grandmother when Sunrisers Hyderabad bought him for ₹13.25 crore. Brook said that both his mother and grandmother started crying at that moment.
