Anupshahr (Bulandshahr) In a tragic road accident near Karanpur village in the Anupshahr Kotwali area on Saturday night, 23-year-old Ashish, a field manager with Coca-Cola Company, died on the spot. The car driver responsible for the accident fled the scene, while the police have seized the vehicle and initiated an investigation.
According to information, around 10 PM on Saturday night, Ashish was returning to his village Gendpur-Shekhpur (Sikandrabad) on his bike after completing company work. Near Karanpur, his bike collided head-on with a speeding Ertiga car. The impact was so severe that Ashish died on the spot.
Immediately after the incident, passersby alerted the 108 ambulance service. Ashish was taken to the government hospital in Anupshahr by ambulance, where doctors declared him dead.
Police have taken the Ertiga car into custody. Kotwali in-charge Pankaj Rai stated that the driver fled the scene and a search is underway. Further legal action will be taken after the deceased’s family files an official complaint.
Family in Mourning
According to the deceased’s brother, Sonu, Ashish was returning home due to the Sunday holiday. As soon as the family received the news of the accident, they were devastated. The police have conducted the inquest and sent the body for post-mortem.
