BSA Gold Star 650 carries a starting price of Rs. 3,09,990 (ex-showroom) only for the first 500 customers; they will get a complimentary accessory kit too
Classic Legends announced the return of the BSA brand in late 2021 with the Gold Star nameplate and it was introduced in India just over a year ago with a starting price of Rs. 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The brand is currently selling its flagship offering with a starting price tag of Rs. 3,09,990 (ex-showroom) by absorbing GST 2.0 price increase.
Brands such as Bajaj, Triumph, KTM and Aprilia have decided to absorb the price hike endured due to the higher taxes for motorcycles above 350 cc under the GST 2.0 regime but Royal Enfield increased prices by over Rs. 20,000 for its 450 cc and 650 cc offerings. As for the BSA Gold Star 650, there is a catch you should not ignore!
The aforementioned price for the base variant will be applicable only for the first 500 owners as the range will be hiked by over Rs. 21,000 to Rs. 3,31,287 (ex-showroom). To complement the deal, BSA is offering a limited edition accessory kit worth Rs. 5,900 for those 500 customers and rate of interest starts at just 5.99 per cent.

BSA is also providing zero down payment and a tenure of up to six years. The accessory kit comprises a rear rail, pillion backrest, metal exhaust shield and a tall windscreen better suited for touring. For the 500 customers, the price for the Shadow Black stands at Rs. 3,25,990 while the Midnight Black & Dawn Silver costs Rs. 3,21,990 each and the Legacy Sheen Silver at Rs. 3,44,990.
In comparison, its nearest rival, the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 costs between Rs. 3.32 lakh and Rs. 3.62 lakh (ex-showroom). The BSA Gold Star 650 derives power from a 652 cc single-cylinder DOHC 4-valve liquid-cooled engine which kicks out 45 bhp maximum power at 5,000 rpm and 55 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm.

The powertrain is mated to a five-speed gearbox with a slipper and assist clutch as standard. The motorcycle is produced at Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh and is also shipped to several international markets. It features 41 mm telescopic forks at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear with five-step preload adjustability.
The BSA Gold Star 650 comes with 18-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels wrapped in Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp rubber. Braking duties are handled by a 320 mm disc at the front and a 255 mm disc at the rear complemented by a dual-channel ABS system supplied by Continental.
