Ghaziabad | Link Road Police Station Area
In a shocking incident, two armed men looted a jewellery shop in broad daylight in the Brij Vihar locality of Ghaziabad, which lies adjacent to Delhi and is considered a high-security zone. The robbers escaped after seizing 20 kilograms of silver and 100 grams of gold at gunpoint.
According to eyewitnesses and the shop owner, the two men entered the shop posing as customers and then pulled out firearms, threatening the staff. They swiftly looted the precious metals and fled the scene before anyone could
What raises major concerns is that the incident took place just 200 meters from the nearest police outpost, yet no immediate response was triggered. Senior police officials rushed to the spot after the incident and have launched an investigation.
Official Statement – ACP Nimish Patil on Brij Vihar Loot Case:
“A case has been formally registered, and a dedicated team of six police officers has been constituted to investigate the matter. We are thoroughly examining all leads, including CCTV footage. Action will be swift, and the accused will be arrested at the earliest,” said ACP Nimish Patil while addressing the media.

The entire robbery was captured on CCTV cameras installed in and around the shop. The footage is being reviewed to identify the culprits. Police claim to be examining all possible angles and leads in the case.
However, the incident has put the local law enforcement under scrutiny. Questions are being raised about the security arrangements in Brij Vihar — a locality regarded as high-tech and well-monitored — where criminals could execute such a daring heist in broad daylight and walk away unchallenged.
