@ Ghaziabad Bureau
In line with the vision of the Police Commissioner, Ghaziabad Police Commissionerate has taken several significant steps to promote transparency, timely service delivery, and zero tolerance towards corruption. A major initiative under this vision is the establishment of “Command and Control Rooms” at all three Zonal Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) offices in the city.
To strengthen citizen services, a Citizen Charter has already been implemented in the Commissionerate. This charter defines clear timelines for essential police services such as passport verifications, character certificates, and more. These timelines ensure timely service delivery, sparing citizens from unnecessary delays and enhancing trust in the police system.
To make the process even more effective, a dedicated Feedback Cell has been established. This cell actively contacts citizens on a daily basis to collect feedback on the services received. In the last month alone, nearly 27,000 feedback responses were recorded, out of which only 14 (0.051%) were negative. Each negative response is treated with seriousness, thoroughly investigated, and resolved within a specified time frame.
This feedback mechanism has not only improved transparency but has also strengthened mutual trust between citizens and the police, encouraging people to voice their concerns without fear.
Taking this commitment a step further, the Command and Control Rooms have been set up in each of the three zones of Ghaziabad Commissionerate. These rooms are directly linked to all CCTV cameras installed in police stations and ACP courts within their respective zones, enabling 24×7 surveillance.
