
The death of engineer Yuvraj in Noida’s Sector 150 has triggered widespread outrage, prompting swift action from the Uttar Pradesh government. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the incident and ordered a high-level probe. A three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT), headed by the ADG of Meerut Zone, has been constituted to investigate the case. The Chief Minister has directed the SIT to submit its report within five days.
In a major administrative action, Noida Authority CEO M. Lokesh has been removed from his post. The authority has also suspended a Junior Engineer (JE) in connection with the incident and issued show-cause notices to other officials, seeking explanations for alleged lapses.
An FIR has been registered against the concerned builder, and legal action has been initiated for negligence and safety violations. The government has assured strict accountability and emphasized that responsibility will be fixed after the investigation. The case has intensified public debate over administrative negligence and urban safety standards in Noida.
