Hyundai Creta Electric, i20 and Alcazar Knight Editions get a host of cosmetic enhancements inside and out to differentiate themselves from their respective standard models

Hyundai Motor India Limited has announced the launch of the Knight Edition just in time for the festive season – introducing the Creta Electric Knight, i20 Knight and Alcazar Knight following the launch of the Creta King edition a couple of days ago. With their dark theme and exclusive features, the new additions could help boost the popularity of the Knight range which has already seen over 77,000 unit sales since its inception in 2022.

The Knight family now comprises six models – Creta Knight, Venue Knight, Exter Knight, Creta Electric Knight, i20 Knight and Alcazar Knight – making it one of the most diverse special edition lineups in the country. At the heart of it is a blacked-out design theme combining all-black interiors with brass accents, black exterior detailing and bespoke badging.

The visual updates for the Knight editions are extensive as they also adorn gloss-black alloy wheels with red brake callipers, blacked-out skid plates, side sills, roof rails and rear spoiler, matte-black Hyundai logos and the signature Knight emblem. The interior gains black upholstery with brass highlights, a Knight-specific finish on the dashboard and sporty metal pedals – setting these editions apart from the standard models.

The Creta Electric Knight is perhaps the most significant new addition. Offered in the Excellence variant, it comes with two battery pack options – a 42 kWh unit with a 420 km certified range and a larger 51.4 kWh pack capable of delivering up to 510 km on a single charge. Hyundai has also introduced a new Matte Black paint option for both the Creta Electric Knight and Alcazar Knight Editions.

The i20 Knight is available with the 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine and comes in Sportz (O) MT and Asta (O) IVT trims. On top of the Knight updates, Hyundai has also brought in feature enhancements for the i20 lineup including a new sporty rear spoiler, a dashcam in the Asta O IVT and i20 N Line N8 variants and wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay via an adapter. The i20 N Line range itself continues with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine – offered with both MT and DCT options.

The Alcazar Knight builds on the premium SUV’s appeal with availability in both petrol and diesel automatic powertrains. The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol comes with a seven-speed DCT, while the 1.5-litre U2 CRDi diesel gets a six-speed AT. Both are offered in the Signature seven-seat trim and now also available in the Matte Black exterior shade. The Alcazar range benefits from added equipment too including a dashcam in the Signature variants.

Prices for the Knight editions start from Rs 9.14 lakh (ex-showroom) for the i20 Sportz (O) MT Knight and extend all the way up to Rs 24.54 lakh for the Creta Electric Knight LR (with home charger).
