🔍 OEM Performance Highlights

TVS Motor Company – 22,230 Units (Rank 1)

TVS iQube continues to lead the market with strong demand from both urban and rural buyers. Backed by an extensive dealership network, product reliability, and aggressive marketing, TVS maintained its No. 1 position despite a dip from June’s 25,468 units.

Bajaj Auto – 19,650 Units (Rank 2)

The Chetak series is powering Bajaj’s EV journey with a classic design and urban appeal. Bajaj’s investments in experience centers and service infrastructure are translating into strong monthly volumes.

Ola Electric – 17,848 Units (Rank 3)

Ola staged a comeback with the launch of its S1 X (4kWh) variant and the continued rollout of its Hypercharger network. Attractive pricing and financing options also contributed to Ola’s July success.

Ather Energy – 16,231 Units (Rank 4)

Ather remains the preferred choice for tech-savvy urban buyers. The 450X Gen 3 is well-regarded for its smart dashboard, OTA updates, and refined performance.

Hero MotoCorp – 10,489 Units (Rank 5)

Hero crossed the 10K mark in monthly e-2W sales for the first time. The Vida V2 Plus is gaining traction in semi-urban markets, and the brand’s rural network is playing a pivotal role.

Greaves, PURE, BGauss, River, and Kinetic

These brands contributed to the lower half of the top 10. They are focused on budget-conscious customers and fleet operators. Continued product innovation will be essential for them to maintain relevance.

📈 Market Share Pie Chart

1. Market Consolidation

With FAME-II compliance and stricter quality expectations, smaller OEMs are being edged out by top brands. The market is now dominated by fewer, more trusted names.

2. Rise in Tier-2 and Tier-3 Demand

Sales in smaller towns are rising fast, driven by increased EV awareness, financing availability, and lower cost of ownership.

3. Infrastructure & Financing Improvements

Battery swapping, subscription models, and public charging networks are making EV ownership easier than ever. Brands like Ola, Hero, and Ather are investing heavily in these services.

4. Challenges Ahead

A global shortage of rare earth magnets is affecting production. Although not critical yet, it could become a concern in the coming quarters.

📌 Final Thoughts

The electric two-wheeler sector in India is experiencing rapid but healthy growth. With rising competition, better products, and strong government support, July 2025 has reaffirmed the electric two-wheeler’s place in India’s mainstream mobility narrative.

As we move closer to the festive season, expect new launches, attractive financing, and stronger sales—possibly taking monthly sales past the 1.2 lakh mark.
