VinFast VF 7, the five-seater electric SUV, will be available in Eco and Plus trims with the claimed of over 450 km between charges; launch this festive season

Following their first appearance at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in New Delhi, VinFast has begun showcasing its VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs to the public through a multi-city roadshow that kicked off a few days ago. The campaign will run through 11 cities across India with the aim of raising brand visibility and familiarising potential customers.

The display units have been set up in high footfall locations such as Select City Walk and Pacific Mall in Delhi, Ambience Mall in Gurugram and multiple Lulu Mall outlets across cities including Kochi, Lucknow, Bengaluru, and Trivandrum. Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Vijayawada, Chennai, and Pune are also part of the schedule.

Besides the showcase, the company is also conducting road tests on public roads ahead of the much-awaited market launch which will happen this festive season. Here we have showed you test prototypes of the VinFast VF 7 that are wearing heavy camouflage but its large greenhouse, sloping roofline, prominent LED tail lamp bar, hidden door handles, 19-inch wheels, etc can be clearly seen.

The VinFast VF 7 measures 4,545 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width and 1,636 mm in height. It is powered by a 75.3 kWh battery pack and delivers 150 kW (201 hp) with 309 Nm of torque. The WLTP-estimated driving range is 451 km per charge. Performance sees a notable bump in the Plus variant with the same 75.3 kWh battery pushing out 260 kW (348 hp) and 499 Nm of torque.

The estimated WLTP range for this variant stands at 431 km. As with the Eco, the Plus trim of the VF 7 comes equipped with OTA update support and Level 2 Highway Assist for semi-autonomous highway driving. The VF 7 comes fitted with full-width LED lighting elements, large panoramic glass roof and a prominent central display.

The Vietnamese brand has established a manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu and is also expanding its service infrastructure through tie-ups including one with Global Assure. VinFast is preparing to begin its India operations with local assembly from day one, a move that is expected to influence pricing strategy significantly. The front-wheel-drive variant of the VF 7 is projected to carry an ex-showroom price in the region of Rs 25 lakh while the dual-motor all-wheel-drive version could reach up to Rs 30 lakh.
