Mahindra Scorpio N Z8L gains Level 2 ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control with stop and go, lane keep assist, smart pilot assist and forward collision warning
Mahindra & Mahindra has introduced the updated Scorpio N in India as the new Z8T trim carries a price tag starting priced from Rs. 20.29 lakh (ex-showroom). The Z8T slots in between the Z8 and Z8L. The new range comes just as the SUV completes three years on the Indian market with over 2.5 lakh units already out on the road.
The equipment list on the new Z8T trim includes an auto-dimming IRVM, ventilated front seats, a 12-speaker Sony-branded audio system, front camera, front parking sensors and a six-way power-adjustable driver seat. Buyers also get electronic parking brake and R18 diamond-cut alloy wheels. Mahindra has also taken the wraps off a significant tech addition – Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) – now available on the Z8L trim.
The Level 2 ADAS suite comprises adaptive cruise control with stop and go, lane keep assist, smart pilot assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, high beam assist and lane departure warning. It also adds two first time features for a Mahindra IC-engined vehicle: Speed Limit Assist and Front Vehicle Start Alert.

The former warns drivers of posted speed limits and can adjust cruise speeds accordingly. The latter offers visual, haptic and audible cues when the vehicle ahead starts moving – useful in bumper-to-bumper traffic. The Z8T petrol variants are priced at Rs. 20.29 lakh for the manual and Rs. 21.71 lakh for the automatic.
Meanwhile, the diesel 2WD manual versions start at Rs. 20.69 lakh and go up to Rs. 22.18 lakh for the automatic. The 4WD diesel versions cost Rs. 22.80 lakh for manual and Rs. 24.36 lakh for automatic. The Z8L trim with ADAS starts at Rs. 21.35 lakh for the petrol manual and Rs. 22.77 lakh for the petrol automatic. The diesel 2WD versions are priced at Rs. 21.75 lakh for manual and Rs. 23.24 lakh for the AT.

Moving to the diesel 4WD, the Z8L manual costs Rs. 23.86 lakh and the automatic is listed at Rs. 25.42 lakh. The six-seater Z8L ADAS variant carries a slightly higher price tag with the petrol manual at Rs. 21.60 lakh and the automatic at Rs. 22.96 lakh. The diesel 2WD version is priced at Rs. 22.12 lakh for the manual and Rs. 23.48 lakh for the automatic (all prices, ex-showroom).
