Suzuki has introduced the Fronx in Indonesia with Level 2 ADAS features such as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keep Assist (LKA) and Lane Departure Warning
PT Suzuki Indomobil Motor (SIM), a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation in Indonesia, has introduced the locally assembled Fronx compact SUV coupe. Rolled out of its Cikarang plant, the facility now becomes the second site globally to manufacture the Fronx after India. The brand is targeting sales of around 24,000 units annually for the Indonesian market.
A portion of the output is also expected to be exported to other ASEAN countries. Originally launched by Maruti Suzuki in India in April 2023 following its Auto Expo debut, the Fronx has already reached over 70 countries and territories including regions across Africa, Latin America and Japan, and now Indonesia joins the lineup.
Competing with Honda WR-V, Nissan Magnite and Daihatsu Rocky there, the Suzuki Fronx is priced between 259 million and 321.9 million rupiah (Rs. 13.65 lakh to 16.97 lakh). Just as in India, the Indonesian-spec Suzuki Fronx comes in at 3,995 mm in length, 1,765 mm wide and stands 1,550 mm tall. Under the bonnet, Suzuki is offering two engine configurations.

A standard 1.5-litre petrol and a mild-hybrid iteration of the same engine. Transmission options include a five-speed manual gearbox, a four-speed torque converter automatic and a six-speed automatic. The K15C mild-hybrid NA petrol mill delivers 101 PS at 6,000 rpm and 135 Nm at 4,400 rpm. The regular petrol engine is 4 PS more powerful and 3 Nm torquier.
It is worth noting that Suzuki sells a six-speed AT equipped Fronx with an AWD system in its home market. While the features list largely mirrors that of Indian version, one of the key additions is the presence of a Level 2 ADAS suite which we expect Maruti Suzuki to offer locally in the near future as well considering the increase in competition.

Among the highlights are Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keep Assist (LKA) and Lane Departure Warning and Prevention systems. Additional alerts for Vehicle Swaying and Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) are also integrated. The safety equipment also extends to Dual Sensor Brake Support II, a 360-degree camera setup, Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and a Head-Up Display (HUD) with High Beam Assist, rear parking sensors, Hill Hold Control and Electronic Stability Program (ESP).
Buyers will also get a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, cruise control, a six-speaker audio system, paddle shifters, 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps, LED tail lamps, synthetic leather seat upholstery, wireless smartphone charger and more.
