Here we have listed the 6 new sedan launches that are expected to happen in the coming years from brands like Hyundai, Honda, Skoda and Volkswagen

The compact, midsize and premium sedan segments will witness the arrival of new models over the next few years as brands such as Hyundai, Honda, Skoda and VW are planning to bring in new offerings:

The facelifted version of the Hyundai Verna will reportedly go on sale next year in India with cosmetic changes and interior revisions. However, we do not expect any major mechanical changes. Along the same lines, Hyundai could introduce a mid-cycle update to the Aura compact sedan in the near future.

3. Next-Gen Honda City:

The sixth-generation Honda City is set to be the second product to be underpinned by the new PF2 architecture and production is expected to commence by May 2028. It will adapt a brand new design direction which will bring a clear break from the styling seen on the current-gen model. The all-new City could be offered with both naturally aspirated petrol and hybrid engine options.

2025 honda city-4

During the Elevate’s launch event, Honda Cars India confirmed its intent to roll out five new SUVs for the domestic market by 2030. The lineup is expected to comprise a combination of completely built-up units brought in from overseas as well as locally manufactured models. However, its existing sedan lineup will also see updates as evident from the recent introduction of the new-gen Amaze.

4. Skoda Octavia RS:

The Skoda Octavia RS is set to return to India via the CBU (Completely Built-Up) route. Under the hood, the fourth generation model will feature a 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine, the same unit found in the recently launched Golf GTI, producing 265 hp. Expect the starting price to be over Rs. 60 lakh and it will get a number of mechanical improvements for enhanced performance and handling.

5&6. Volkswagen Virtus Facelift & Skoda Slavia Facelift:

The Virtus is currently the best-selling midsize sedan in the country and it will get a major update sometime next year in India. VW will bring in a host of updates inside and out while the 1.0L and 1.5L turbo petrol engines will be retained. Its sibling, the Skoda Slavia, will also receive a mid-life makeover in 2026.
